Meet Amsterdam’s Junior Bike Mayor

written by Rebecca Pitts

Armin Taheri, 11, thinks a lot about bikes and what makes riding them fun. “It’s adventurous,” he says. “You never know what you’re going to see, and that makes it exciting.” (Armin speaks Dutch, so we talked to him through a translator.) He loves to ride with the wind on his back and feel his Woom 6 pick up speed as he glides down the street. But unlike most kids who love biking, Armin has to think about this stuff. He’s the junior bicycle mayor of Amsterdam.
